Rose & Womble Realty Plans For Future
With Acquisition of Leading Edge Realty
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA- May 20, 2009 – Jim Rose, CEO of Rose and Womble
announced today that Rose & Womble has acquired Leading Edge Realty to continue its
growth and positioning in the Hampton Roads Real Estate Market. Rose stated, "We are truly
excited to have found a company that has such a similar culture and leadership principles.
During these tough economic times Scott Ayers (Principal Owner and Broker of Leading Edge
Realty) and I thought it was important to combine companies to become stronger through cost
saving, consolidation and at the same time gain market share."
Leading Edge's specialization in New Home Sales dovetails with Rose & Womble's New
Homes Division to offer even more services to the area's builders. Leading Edge Realty
currently representing 9 builders and 11 communities will join forces with Rose and Womble
Realty's New Homes Division which represents over 50 communities and 60 different builders.
This will make Rose & Womble the largest New Homes Division in the Southeast.
Mr. Ayers will continue serving his builder and developer clients as the Regional Vice President
of Sales with Rose and Womble assisting the firm's President, Van Rose, as they continue to
grow this Division to one to the strongest in the country.
One of the greatest benefits of the acquisition is that Leading Edge’s Resale Division which
has 35 agents and staff will see the addition of 35 experienced resale agents from other Rose and
Womble offices affording an incredibly strong presence from their location at 3149 Shore Drive,
in Virginia Beach. This new team of 70 agents will be lead by George Conery, as managing
Broker . Mr. Conery has over 29 years of real estate experience.
